About Us

If you’ve got the horses, we’ve got the trails! Approximately 20 miles of trails. Tidewater Horse Trail has more miles of trails than any other location in Southeast Virginia. Our trails meander through beautiful forests, along streams, and through tranquil fields of crops and wildflowers. They are tucked away from busy roads, giving you the opportunity to listen to the melodies of birds, the conversations of crickets and frogs, and the rustling of leaves swaying in the breeze.

We offer parking and primitive camping on 4 acres of open pasture and field. We do not offer hookups or water. We do have a small stream nearby that provides seasonal water.

You will be riding at your own risk. We require that all guests, riders, and spectators sign a liability release when they arrive at Tidewater Horse Trail.

No reservations are required on open days. Please check our Events Calendar first.

Please note that Tidewater Horse Trail is only open on Sundays from the third Saturday of November to the first Saturday in January (Hunting Season. During hunting season, we do not permit hunting on our land on Sundays. It is our firm belief that Sunday is a day of rest and prayer, and of course trail riding.
